Is blogging fun or not? That's the question for me at least. For most I would have to sat it is,but with a slow computer and slow girl it sometimes can be a bit overwhelming so I hope the parents in our lives enjoy when I do. Not a whole lot to say about the pics they speak for them selves. I guess I could squeeze in that my kids our pretty darn cute. And maybe I should say that the pic of D is at school when the pacific science center came to talk about blood and guts, What fun!

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME PART 1

Hi all it's been a long time sense I have put a post so I hope all is well with everyone. So a lot has happened sense my last post Thanksgiving came and went and as you can see we had a great time in Oregon. At least most of us enjoyed the fun activities like target practice, It may have been little to much for Nathan &Matthew but they warmed up to it.Then of course there was the big SNOW and for Friday Harbor it was a lot, It's always a mixed feeling for are family Bryan is out 80% of the time sanding road ways, so I guess I have been deemed the snow widow (ha ha ha). But the boys and I did find time to make a snowman I managed to get a picture just before Nathan tackled it he just couldn't resist. Then we had holiday hair cuts and for Byran it was all he could do to stay awake, I mean it he really was asleep for most of the hair cut,witch in the end there were some miner mistakes but nothing that can't grow back. And always my favorite games and reading with gram the boys had such a great time playing and reading with all the grown ups they could get there hands on. Bryan's parents were here for the holidays so it made it very special time for our family. Well just some of what has been going on in our neck of the woods hope every one had a great Christmas and a happy
New Year to come.

This is why we don't have a ton of furniture in our home because it would just get in the way of the indoor football games that my kids,husband and nephew enjoy so much. It brings great joy to them so I guess I can endure all sweat and running around that comes with indoor football. And as you can see Nathan has the upper hand in most of the plays.

Work Day!

I forgot to blog about this big day, We had some unruly trees to tame, We took about 8 feet off some trees in front of our house, I guess "I" would be a big word for me to us sense most of the pictures are of Bryan and the kids working hard, along with the Holt kids every one worked really hard to get the job done. We were so thankful to have the extra help. I think I should get some credit for the pics because some one has to stand back and make sure things are getting done right, My husband is a gracious man.

This was almost a catch for Dylan, he is loving his flag football team this is his 2nd year and he really shines. He loves being a part of the team going to practice 2 times a week and having his dad be the funnest coach, Bryan helps when he can and makes things so much fun for all of them. We are having so much fun watching our kids grow up I know it's not the most popular thing to say but there are days when part of me can't wait to see my kids all grown up into the men that God has made them just to see all the good things he has for them, makes me very excited. But I guess there are more days that I get sad that they are getting so big so quick As you can see Nathan is just biding his time till he can get out there and run a play or two, But
watch out who ever is on the other team because if you see him on the line AND I'm sure that's where he'll be LOOK OUT! We love that are kids are so different one quiet and soft spoken and one that you can hear from a mile away and is the life of the party, God is so good he has blessed us with the best kids anyone could ask for.

The end of summer, and the start to fall

Nathan's first day of school preschool that is, He calls it "high school" we think that is pretty funny. Every day he goes right for the sand box that's his favorite for right now.

And to give a little wrap up to the summer we had a great soccer camp at our church it's a great out reach for the kids in our community and it gives us a chance to talk about Jesus. To share what he has done for our lives and what he can do for them if they will receive the gift he has freely given. Not to mention all the fun we had learning new soccer skills. Bryan was a coach and Dylan was one of the little ones running and kicking the ball around.I was a coach for I think one day but found I have other strengths so I found other ways to be helpful.

And lastly we had one last BBQ for labor day it was fun with all the trimmings, like cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows. We are happy to say are summer was full of fun joyful times together , We are excited to see what the Lord will have for us this Fall.

Just a quick photo of Nathan at nap time, This is my favorite time of the day not just that I get at least 3 good hours of quite but it's a time when I can curl up next to him and pray over him and just smell that little boy that God has blessed me with,All that energy that Nathan has it's nice to stop and enjoy him.

We had a great time at our county fair lots to stop and look at. I think it was the hotest days of the year about 88 to 90 THATS' HOT! but we stayed cool with lots of water and cloud cover thank you Lord for the cloud cover.The boys loved the animals I know that they were thinking what if one gets out and comes right for us that always makes an animal show so much fun. And if you look close it looks like Dylan may not think the ride was so safe but given that he went on it 3 more times I guess he found a way to trust. The Lord is good to us he brings hot days and cool days like today my goal is to try to find the blessings in all things like a little county fair

We had a big week last week.Bryan took time this weekend to fix our road ,We needed some new gravel on our road so with the dump truck and backhoe[we] he got it done. The kids I don't think came in side all day it's like having a real life Bob the builder for a dad.So I guess this is two post in one . We also enjoyed the Scheffer's pond on Thursday's they are so sweet to open it up to the church family ,The boys have a great time trying to find pollywogs I'm not sure if that's how you spell it but o-well I must say we are a little sad that summer is almost over but we have one more fun thing to look forward to our county fair starts this week, Then we will do some needed school shopping off island so that will be fun also . So the next post will be a wrap up to the summer .

CRAFT TIME

We had a chance to go to a Island Rec craft time, Nathan was enjoing it for the most part but just like many things we find it was right in the middle of his nap , which makes for a hard time for mommy.But as you can see he And his friend Henry loved it. They did all the things we never do at home for such reasons as take a good look at Henry's sweat shrit, I guess I can relate with Kate on Jonh&Kate plus 8. Some moms do a great with the mess ,NOT ME!But I'm glad Nathan could enjoy some of it we left befor it was over and took the much needed nap. O-well he's only 4 once .

MORE SUMMER FUN!

I know that it has been awhile from my last post but life gets pretty busy. We are having a great time this summer , VBS last week it was a great success the children raise over $500 to go to Kako to fix one of there airplanes to fly the kids from village to village for camp they did a great job. We tried very hard to get Dylan to make himself seen and heard but this is all we got so we take it in stride, We were also very proud of my nephew Adam he was a group leader for 1st&2nd graders he did a great job. So the rest of pics are from just being silly Dad putting up the tint in the back yard what a guy and yes this late 4th of July.

Happy Birthday to you Nathan! It's hard to believe that he is 4 already I know all moms say that but it seems like I was just getting up for 3:00am feedings and almost falling asleep before the feeding was done. Nathan is a true blessing to our family he growing by leaps and bounds, If you look close you will see that his big brother made him a beautiful birthday card, It warms my heart when my boys serve one another. Our pray as parents is that we honor the Lord in raising our children in the good times and bad. So when you think of us pray that very thing. Just a little side note Dylan side mom your cake looks like one of those ACE OF CAKES like on the Food Network you got to love that kid I do.

So when I think of summer I think of playing with my sister and friends all day, So to watch my boys outside enjoying the sun and each other it brings me right back to my child hood and all the fun that we had. I also think of summer weddings, Brayn's cousin just got married we had a great time and it's a perfect time to reflect on our own vowes to each other, Oh yes and to get those dressed up pics that I'm always looking to for. So all in all we are having a great start to our summer.

I am so proud of all these guys for giving up a small part of their over all look for some one very special. Elizabeth Daniels[AKA] Biz who is fighting cancer and going through chemo right now. She is one of gods gifts to are body at Islands community church. She is a beautiful 13 teen year old girl that is a true example to all that know her. I'm thankful for all the ways we can show her how much we love her.

Wow! that's a lot of grayish heads to look at. Well accept for Craig and Nathan Craig who has had a few years to work on his tan and Nathan who's mom said no way.

I'm really glad that mohawkes went out in the 80's.

Oh! there are no words for this one.

When I think of boys blue jello always comes to mind,And yes showing it for all to see.
There is a worm in Nathan's hand I'm not sure if he is squeezing it or not, most likely he is.
If you look close you'll see that Nathan has his glasses on up side down .

Dylan's class did a readers theater , He was the sun and his friend Diego was the wind they were in a competition to see who could make all the people warmest so I don't want to brag but sun did the job.

Happy birthday Dylan!

We always love when one of our kids is one year older.
God has blessed us with great kids, and fun times like birthday party's. We all had a great time, family and friends make the day perfect. Nathan was so good about letting Dylan open his presents all by himself, that's always a task for us at our house. So all in all it was a great party another year under Dylan's belt.

Some of the high lights for Dylan's past year.
1. Dylan received the Lord as savior.
2. He has lost several teeth I think about 7.
3. He has aced 17 spelling test.

4. He's learned to swim thanks to his aunt Rea.
5. He's learning to trust and obey the Lord.

There's a imposter among us

For the last few days we have had an imposter with us. About 5 days ago Nathan missed placed the love of his life Moosey! he has been with Nathan since he was 8 mouths old, So when he had to settle on this guy he lost it a little at nap time. Not to worry all the marker and the stress of being without Moosey has worn off and things are back to normal. Nathan said to me mama my dad found Moosey I love him!

Dylan's frist big league game

I know that I haven't had a lot to talk about we just needed some really cool things to happen . Dylan had his first big league game and as you can see he was taking things very seriously . The sun was shining and wind blowing OH! the great north west. He looks so cute in his uniform number #2 .We took a pretty big loss 1 to 14 couch took it really well and Dylan said "mom all that matters is that we did our best" I thank God for the small stuff.

Dylan and Nathan enjoyed the easter
fun. Along with all the easter egg coloring, and jello eggs we made. We had great talks about our great savior. We really feel that Dylan is connecting that Easter is all about, Worshiping Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and now that he is a believer we see the holy spirit working in him praise the lord.
